I am Joolienn— was born the day I handed in my corporate hat- got rid of my “business attire”, decided rainbow was the new black, put on a silly hat that I found somewhere in my closet, and began designing one of a kind up-cycled: art, accessories, clothing, and anything else my silly imagination will conjure up.

Creating something from nothing stems from my childhood where my family did not have a lot material things and was taught to use my creativity, ingenuity, and most importantly - my imagination- to create art and happiness.

Currently I work in a tiny pinhole of a “workshop” also known as my apartment that I share with my love and our two silly guinea pigs. It is filled to the brim with rescued items that were discarded and saved from the landfill, and may have never seen the light of day again.I hope to give each and every material a new life and purpose, as well as maintain an earth friendly/ wallet friendly design ethic.

I love knowing the original story for each material I use, and even moreso- love to tell the story of each and every piece I design. Please ask if you’re interested in hearing where/how/why anything here has been made!

About 90% of my materials used are recycled. Go Earth!
